The Mlab at the XXX Conference of the Spanish Society of Microbiology
Alicia at the XXX SEM Congress in Jaén 🇪🇸🧫
Last week, Alicia had the fantastic opportunity to attend the XXX Congress of the Spanish Society for Microbiology (SEM), held in the historic city of Jaén 🏛️🌿.
It was a truly rewarding experience, both scientifically and personally. Alicia presented the first results of her PhD project, which focuses on the microbiome of Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba) 🦐❄️. Sharing her work with the broader microbiology community and receiving valuable feedback was an exciting step forward in her research journey.
Beyond the science, the congress was also a great chance to meet passionate researchers from across the country, exchange ideas, and build connections 🤝✨. And of course, Jaén offered a rich cultural experience — from exploring its beautiful historic center to enjoying the local food and landscapes 🌄🍷.
We're proud of Alicia for representing the Mlab and diving into the world of scientific exchange with such enthusiasm!
